We’re thrilled to announce a collaboration between BugEra and GrubFeeds to drive innovation in sustainable energy and waste management.
“GrubFeeds” is a Southeast Asian waste-to-feed agri-tech venture that uses the power of insects like Black Soldier Flies (BSF) to transform biowaste into sustainable, high-value products such as animal feed, biofuels, biofertilizers, and other oleochemicals.
Together, we’re launching a collaboration to establish a BSFx2 farm in Cambodia, the first of a few locations in Asia, and set to redefine oil for biofuel production, a novel circular economy practice in the region.
The farm will utilize BugEra’s BSFx2 version 1 strain. The goals for 2025 are to establish a viable and consistent BSFx2 production process, upcycling local waste streams, to produce sustainable BSFx2 oil for biofuel.
By combining our strengths, this partnership supports global sustainability goals, creates economic opportunities, empowers local communities, and fosters innovation in reducing GHG emissions and saving natural resources.
This initiative is a testament to what’s possible when entrepreneurs and scientists collaborate to tackle global challenges. We’re proud to contribute to advancing the future of renewable energy and waste valorization.
Stay tuned for updates as we bring this vision to life!
